In the game of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, players will return
to Hogwarts to help Harry survive a fraught sixth year. They will also have
a chance to engage in exciting wizard duels, mix and brew magical ingredients
in Potions class and take to the air to lead the Gryffindor Quidditch team
to victory. Players may even get sidetracked by Ronĺs romantic entanglements
as they journey towards a dramatic climax and discover the identity of the
Half-Blood Prince.
Baseado no filme, que por sua vez se inspirou no aclamado romance da escritora britânica J. K. Rowling, Harry Poter e o Enigma do Príncipe (ou Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince no original) é a sexta incursão dos bruxinhos de Hogwarts nos videogames.

O jogo segue a mesma trama do filme e do livro. Os jogadores assumirão o controle do bruxo púbere Harry Potter, agora no sexto ano de escola. O vilão Lorde Valdemort retornou e está fechando o cerco aos magos e trouxas. Os bruxos de Hogwarts se preparam para inevitável batalha final entre as forças do bem e do mal.
Você poderá participar de duelos de magia, criar poções e participar de diversas partidas de Quadribol. Seguindo a proposta do título anterior, A Ordem da Fênix, a versão do Nintendo Wii utiliza seu controle com sensores de movimento na jogabilidade, permitindo que os usuários sintam-se como se estivessem com uma varinha em mãos.
